Dear Mum, I saw the new memorial bench for you and Dad in the park on Sunday - it will be a lovely place for people to sit, and I will go there often. I chose a laburnum tree to be planted opposite it, which will have yellow flowers and will replace a big old tree which fell down in the storms. I asked the council official about volunteering to do some gardening in the park and he would be very pleased - I will need to see I can get some neighbours on board too. On leaving the park, I met two of your carers from Minster Grange, Ben and Hannah. I told them about the bench and they were happy to know you are still being remembered. It it good to see the people who looked after you and were fond of you. I am so happy about the memorials in the park as I feel that you are somehow present there among nature. It is better than at the crematorium because I can go to the park all the time.
